About Cigars Unbanded

Cigars Unbanded was created in January 2024 by the original three members: Peter (The Cigar Collective), Roger (WorkingMan Cigars), and Felipe (Cigarside Chats). What started as a simple idea — sending mystery cigars to each other for a live review show — quickly grew into something much bigger.

From the beginning, the goal was simple: remove the bands, eliminate bias, and let the cigars speak for themselves.

How It Works

Cigars Unbanded is built around a true blind cigar review experience. The panel smokes unbanded cigars live, shares honest feedback on flavor, construction, and overall experience, and scores each cigar before the reveal at the end of the show.

With the help of Small Batch Cigar, that experience now extends to the wider community through monthly curated packs designed for the Thursday night livestreams.

How We Grew

As the show grew, more content creators joined the panel and became regular contributors. Mike (Cigar Carpenter), Matt (Cigar Hound Dog), Michael (Master Your Ash), John (Garrison Cigar), Johnny (JohnnyOCD), and Sean (Seanicus Smokes Cigars) were all incorporated into the Cigars Unbanded team over the past two years, as the show has grown into one of the largest cigar livestreams and communities online. 

The show has also expanded into interviews with some of the cigar industry’s biggest names, giving the audience direct access to the brands and people they want to hear from.

Our Community

A big part of Cigars Unbanded is the community that has grown around it. Through the Cigars Unbanded Discord, also known as CUD, members can talk cigars, share their experiences, and build real friendships beyond the hobby itself.

That sense of connection is what continues to make the show special. It’s not just about what’s being smoked that night — it’s about the people sharing the experience together.

A Personal Note

I never expected Cigars Unbanded to become what it is today, and I’m deeply grateful for the friendships and opportunities it has created for me and the rest of the panel.
