I’ve been passionate about cigars for nearly 20 years, and building the Cigars Unbanded show and community has been one of the most rewarding parts of the hobby.

Outside of cigars, I enjoy playing soccer and hockey, coaching my kids’ sports teams, collecting whiskey, and searching for the world’s best chocolate croissant.

I’ve been obsessed with cigars since 2012, a journey that started with a gift from my now-wife. I’m deep into all things tobacco and the history and fellowship that comes with it.

If I’m not smoking a cigar, I’m spending time with my family, reading, making tobacco pipes, practicing photography, or diving into whatever new hobby I’m currently hyper-fixated on.

I’ve always had an interest in cigars but only recently started enjoying cigars in the last five years. My cigar “hobby” has been elevated with the Cigars Unbanded Community and the weekly livestream we do is my hobby highlight of the week.

I spend most of my time working but when I’m not working I enjoy doing a bit of woodworking, staying in shape and I love spending time with my family… Well, most of the time. It’s just jokes.

John | Garrison Cigar

I’ve been into cigars for 19 years, and I fell in love with the craft and artistry of the industry. I now own and operate Garrison Cigar, which is a mobile cigar bar business, and soon-to-be e-commerce store.

When I’m not working or enjoying cigars, I enjoy coaching my daughter’s youth lacrosse team, smoking BBQ, watching F1, and hunting.

Cigars have become a huge passion of mine over the last two years. They were a conduit for me to slow down and enjoy being in the moment. It has become a way for me to connect with an amazing community. It has also opened the door for me to join the industry as a local shop owner.

I enjoy spending time with my wife and two kids who are my life. I am also a concrete contractor by trade. I also enjoy living up to all the stereotypes of a concrete contractor that Carpy believes are true.
